Call Bell

As a child growing up, the kids in my Florida hometown always loved these bells on the various store counters. We would plead with our mother’s to let us ring the bill for them. We loved that sharp ding that could be heard by everyone. One particular shopkeeper was always crabby. Children were tolerated at his store, but not liked. He refused to let the kids ring the bell for the parents. He even posted a small sign next to the bell, “Children are not permitted to ring this bell. For service, adults only”. As soon as I was able to read, and read the sign, I always thought that this man was just a grouch to deny us the chance to ring the sweet-sounding bell. What harm could this cause? I saw it for sale on your website, bought it and I keep it on my home office desk. I always smile when I look at it. And I can ring it whenever I want. And any child that visits my home, can ring it to their hearts content!
